Hey Uv, I have a large scar on the side of my right cheek. I’ve had it ever since I can remember. It used to be very pronounced, but now it’s just really red, and I really noticeable. Is there like a magic cream you can recommend to make it dissapear? Thanks!

-Some Cream. 2Abolish. Redness.

Haha. Hey ‘Scar’. Unfortunately, there is no ‘magic cream’ currently on the market. Your going to have to fade your scar the old fashioned way, with lots and lots of hydration and lotion. Now, don’t get too excited, because you are never going to be able to get rid of  your entire scar completely, so you’re going to have to accept it.

Over time, the redness from your scar will fade, until you’ll only have a shadow of the monster it once was. If you are a girl a few years past puberty, I’m sure that if you look down at your Tatas, you’ll see some little wispy white snakes, that when you were 14 were big menacing red stretch marks.

You don’t have to wait forever though, because there are creams and butters you can use that will help lighten your Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream with Vitamin Eredness. You’ll want to hydrate your scar, so avoid creams that’s main goal is to make you smell pretty, or has ‘alcohol’ high up on it’s ingredient list. Look for creams with ‘Vitamin E’ printed on the bottle.

My favorite scar cream is ‘Palmer’s Cocoa Butter’. I love, love, love it. It’s great for scars, elbow, knees, and people who are prone to dry skin. Plus, it totally smells like vanilla cupcakes- so while your waiting for your scar to fade, you can distract people with your bakery scent! Plus, this lotion is totally available everywhere, so check your nearest drug store. Lazy? I’ve found it at drugstore.com.

Every morning after your shower, spread the lotion out over the scar. Let it sit for a couple minutes, and brush your teeth or something, and then rub it in with your fingertip in a circular motion. You can repeat this again at night with your typical evening routine.

I don’t normally wear lots of makeup, but it’s because I jut don’t know what goes with brown eyes. Can you suggest any eyeshadow colors for me? -Samantha, from Vancouver.

You are quite lucky my friend! Brown is a neutral color, which means you can get away with pretty much any color you please. Some colors though, are particularly flattering for brown eyes. Now, you didn’t send me a photo of your eyes, so I’m not sure how dark or light they are, but here are some suggestions you should try.

No matter the shade of brown, a dusky purple, or shimmery coppers are perfect if paired with a dark rich liner for evening. If going with the purple shadow, use a dark rich plum liner, and for the copper, use a rich brown or black liner.

If you have light brown eyes, you can get away with more pink toned, light colors. Frosty pinks are good to use a a highlight under light brown eyes.

For dark brown eyes, consider playing within the color range of your actual eyes. Consider brown smokes, and dark brown liner. Keep your makeup rich for a sultry, and sexy make-up.

And for a quick fix, to bring out your eyes, you can always pass over your lashes with a few quick swipes of mascara. Using a lash curler beforehand would be ideal.

My Makeup under my eyes Always Creases at work (I’m a waitress). What’s the Deal? -Kay.

Well if you are standing up and sweaty all day, it’s likely that by the end of the day, your make-up is going to look less than perfect. And if you have oily skin, you can expect it to crease up twice as fast.

You didn’t say what kind of make-up you were using under your eyes, so I’ll assume it’s either a concealer or cream/liquid foundation. If you are using powder, you may just be using too much, and that means it’s building up in the small lines of your eyes.

If you have oily skin, make sure you wash and dry your face immediatly before applying any makeup. If you are super greasy, use a blotting sheet and swipe it over your nose, eyes and forehead to prevent any creasing.

Then apply your foundation as usual, being careful to apply it sparingly. If you use to much makeup, it will slide all over your face by the end of the day.

Then, you’ll want to dust over everything with a translucent powder, pressed or loose. You can do this lightly with a big fluffy brush, or invest in a nice big powder puff. To apply it with the powder puff, you want to have it in your palm, and kind of press and roll your palm on your face. Pay special attention to putting powder under your eyes,on your nose, and forehead.

And then, before you leave for work, throw a few q-tips and a powder compact in your bag to do a few quick fixes, if you find you are still creasing.
